Chris is originally from North Atlanta. He received a bachelor’s degree from David Lipscomb University, a Master of Public Health degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Juris Doctorate degree from The Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1991. He has been lead counsel in both State and Federal jury trials. His experience includes administrative proceedings as well as county, circuit, and appellate courts.

His legal career began as an Assistant State Attorney. He was trained under the tutelage of members of the same team that tried and convicted famed serial killer, Ted Bundy.  He has prosecuted serious felonies, which included drug trafficking, armed robbery, murder, complex white-collar crime, and violations of the RICO Act.

He was a certified law enforcement instructor at North Florida Community College, in Madison, Florida, and an adjunct certified law instructor at Florida Gateway College, in Lake City, Florida for 18 years.

After leaving the State Attorney’s Office he opened a solo law practice which practiced business law, wills and estates, family law, and criminal defense, but a number of years ago his career honed in and became exclusively insurance defense.

As his brother was a commercial truck driver for over thirty-seven years he is passionate about the representation of trucking companies and truck drivers.

Outside of the office, he is active in his church, enjoys time with family, cooking, playing music, painting, carpentry, mountain biking, sailing, camping, motorcycles, and restoring anything containing an internal combustion engine.

He and his lovely wife, Angelique, share 4 adult children, a son-in-law, and one teenage computer whiz. As of yet, they have no grandchildren but are hopeful!
